While calls received by the Central Board of Secondary Education’s regional helpline for Class X this year has risen by 50 per cent compared to last year’s records, the counsellors state that this time around, instead of stress related queries it was the board’s new changes that had students worried.

During this year’s board examinations, however, there was widespread confusion over the newly introduced internal assessments system and the option of choosing school-based board exams.
