About Exam (SEE UPTU 2011):
Gautam Buddh Technical University (Formerly Uttar Pradesh Technical University), Lucknow is conducting State Entrance Examination (SEE UPTU 2011) on 2nd week April 2011 for admission to degree courses in Engineering (B.Tech.)/ Pharmacy (B.Pharm)/ Architecture (B.Arch.)/ Hotel Management (BHMCT)/ Fashion & Apparel Design Technology (BFAD) and Post Graduate Courses MCA/ MBA of Govt. Aided and Private unaided instiutes affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow for the academic session 2010-11
It is the common entrance Exam conducted by the Government of Uttar Pradesh to the state candidates to get admission in the following courses offered through different Institutes/Universities: Master in Business Administration (MBA), Hotel Management programs, Master in Computer Application (MCA), Engineering programs, Pharmacy programs. The University is affiliating in nature and its jurisdiction spans the entire state of U.P. in affiliating B.Tech., M.B.A., M.C.A., B.Arch., B. Pharma., B.H.M.C.T., M.Tech. and Ph.D. programmes in 238 colleges/institutions imparting graduate, postgraduate and doctoral level training in all government and private institutions located all over U.P. in engineering, technology, architecture, pharmacy, hotel management and catering technology as well as M.B.A. and M.C.A. programmes.

Eligibility:
The candidate must have passed intermediate examination of U. P. Board or 10 + 2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board/University; securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in compulsory and optional subject as given in information brochure of SEE UPTU 2011. A candidate possessing three years Diploma in Architecture (10+3) recognized by Central/State Govt., is also eligible for admission to first year of B. Arch. only, provides the candidate has passed the Diploma examination securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate,. Such candidates will have to appear in the entrance examination for first year of B. Arch.
How to apply:
The Information Brochure containing OMR Application form will be available for Sale in from all Head Post Offices and Mukhya Dak Ghars (MDGs) of U.P., Delhi, Nainital and Dehradun. It can also be obtained by post from Registrar, U.P. Technical University, IET, Campus, Sitapur Road, Lucknow – 226031 by sending a MICR bank draft of .Rs. 1050/- for General/ OBC and Rs. 550/- for SC/ST and female candidates of all categories in favour of Finance Officer, U. P. Technical University, Lucknow along with two self addressed stickers.
